ISO/IEC 17020:2012 – Requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection – Internal Auditors. 

The control bodies carry out assessments on behalf of individuals, customers or authorities, with the objective of providing information on the compliance of controlled by regulations, standards, specifications, inspection schemes or contracts. The control parameters include quantity, quality, safety, suitability for use and continuous compliance for safety operating units or systems. The general requirements with which the control bodies must comply with in order for their services to be accepted by clients and supervisory authorities are in line with this International Standard. This International Standard forms the foundation for the assessment and accreditation of control bodies and sets their organizational and operational framework. It sets specific requirements for the operating organization, the technical skills of auditors, the assurance of independence and impartiality.

Training Methodology

The training methodology includes lectures, practice and teamwork. In this context, the participants are asked to carry out group and individual exercises, Role playing exercises, which aim to develop their skills (time management, teamwork, cooperation) and evaluations tests. In the end, a satisfaction questionnaire is distributed to participants in order to evaluate the results of their training and the achievement of its objectives.
